Pie Baking Perfection

Filling your kitchen with warm memories is easy.

LARGE FRUIT PIE BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

Just follow these simple instructions, and as the scent of fresh-baked pie fills the air, you won’t be lying when you say you baked it yourself!

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Remove frozen pie from plastic & place on baking sheet.

3. Bake for approximately 75-90 minutes or until golden brown. Ovens vary; adjust cooking times as needed. Ensure pie is cooked thoroughly to 165˚F.

4. Carefully remove the pie from the oven, it will be hot! Allow 1 hour to cool. Enjoy within 3 days of baking. Cover & refrigerate leftover pie.

5. Serve plain or with your favorite ice cream.

PUMPKIN PIE BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

2. Remove frozen pie from plastic & place on baking sheet.

3. Bake for approx. 75-90 minutes or until golden brown. Do not overbake, the center will firm during cooling. Ovens vary; adjust cooking times as needed. Ensure pie is cooked thoroughly to 165˚F.

4. Carefully remove pie from oven, it will be hot! Allow 1 hour to cool. Enjoy within 3 days of baking. Cover & refrigerate leftovers.

PIE CRUST BAKING INSTRUCTIONS

For Single Crust Pies:

  1. Preheat oven according to your recipe. Remove pie shell from freezer & place on baking sheet; thaw 20-30 min.

  2. Pour filling into shell; bake as your recipe directs.

For Double Crust Pies:

  1. Preheat oven according to your recipe. Remove pie shells from freezer.

  2. While frozen, carefully remove 1 shell from tin & place on parchment or wax paper to thaw for 20-30 min. Place other shell on baking sheet & pour in filling.

  3. Brush edges with beaten egg, milk or water. Place thawed shell on top of pie. Crimp edges to seal. Pierce pie with knife or fork to allow steam to vent during baking.

  4. Bake as your recipe directs.

For No-Bake Pie Recipes:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Remove pie shell from freezer & place on baking sheet; thaw 20-30 min.

  2. Using a fork, prick bottom & sides of shell. Line shell with parchment or wax paper & cover entire bottom with pie weights (dried beans/rice work great!).

  3. Bake for 15-17 minutes, or until the crust edges begin to brown. Carefully remove crust from oven. Remove paper & pie weights.

  4. Return shell to oven (without weights) for 5-6 more min., or until bottom crust begins to brown.
